The Never Trump Movement: Emergent Faction or Dwindling Group of Has-Beens?

In this week’s episode, Steven Teles joins Julia, Lee, and James to discuss the Never Trump movement and what it means for the future of the Republican Party. Teles is a Professor of Political Science at the Johns Hopkins University and a Senior Fellow at the Niskanen Center. He is the author of numerous books including, most recently, Never Trump: The Revolt of the Conservative Elites (Oxford University Press, 2020), which he co-authored with Robert P. Saldin. Is the Never Trump movement a sign of things to come for the GOP? Or is it a dwindling group of has-beens? And how should we think about political parties and the factions of which they are comprised? These are some of the questions Julia, Lee, and James ask Teles in this week’s episode of Politics In Question.
